Japanese Budo Demonstration and Workshop

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of signing of the "Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation" between Australia and Japan, an "International Budo Delegation" made up of top-level representatives from each of the budo federations affiliated to the Japanese Budo Association will be holding performance and workshops to facilitate greater international understanding of the traditional Japanese martial arts.

A free public performance will be held at the Sydney Showground Hall 4 in Sydney Olympic Park on Sunday, 13 November from 2pm.  It will showcase Judo, Kendo, Kyudo, Sumo, Karate, Aikido, Shorinji Kempo, Naginata, Jukendo, Aikijutsu, Kenjutsu.

Also, there will also be an exciting opportunity for us to practice Kendo, Naginata, Jukendo and Tankendo (short sword) with the visiting delegation on Saturday, 12-November 10am to 1pm.  Venue TBA.  

In terms of the Kendo Delegation, it will consist of 7 members, led by Tadahiro AJIRO Sensei (Hanshi 8 Dan) and plus 6 x Kyoshi 7 Dan Sensei.

For those of you who have previously expressed interest to give Jukendo and Tankendo a try, here is the opportunity!
